Forum: stock_footage Subject: About the stock footage I have posted

Hello Forum, I just wanted to make a few observations about the stock footage I have posted. First I want to thank the nice folks from Alaska, England, Washington State and many other places that have Emailed me and said so many nice things about this footage. It has been great knowing that the stock footage I have posted has been useful to so many people already. I wanted to also note that I have a few rules about the footage I post for stock footage. Any stock footage I post was completly created by hand, by me. Animations and live footage as well as any music posted with it were created totally by me. I keep the original cells for any animation I do in my personal archive. I only use live footage if it was filmed on my property, Public Property (a public area in a state park for instance) or if I have a proof of release from a property owner or manager. I don't want to get in trouble for releasing footage I can't prove I own the rights to release. I also don't want some editor to get in trouble for using my material. I feel stongly these materials are mine to use, sell or give away as I see fit and I keep the original materials used to create these clips on file so I can prove the footage is mine. I always try to use a tripod on live shots so you get a good steady image. I try to post the best material I can. I don't want to waste anyones time. I post the AVIs with my stock footage clips so you get the best quality clip I have. I have gotten a lot of enjoyment out of the Archive and hope someone can get some good from my old "Stock Footage". My special thanks go out to the Internet Archive and their staff as well as all the people who have uploaded material for creating this stock footage catagory. Keep up the good work.
